WORKSHOP ON STRATEGY AND STEPS FOR NEW BUSINESS VENTURES IN THE PWRI JABAR ENVIRONMENT

Entering retirement does not mean being inactive in contributing to society. This was evident in the active participation of retirees associated with the Indonesian Pensioners Association (PWRI) in West Java, particularly in the city of Bandung. On Thursday, December 7, 2023, a workshop on Strategy and Steps for New Business Ventures was held, initiated by the Business Administration (Adbis) Program at Telkom University. Throughout the event, all 30 participants showed great enthusiasm in engaging with the workshop activities.

While some participants already had their own businesses, they still needed guidance on business strategies to sustain and compete in the market. Discussions during the workshop revealed that despite being in their golden years, participants were not short of business ideas. Therefore, retirees needed guidance and assistance in their business endeavors.

The Chairman of PWRI Jabar, Drs Yuyun Muslihat, MM, delivered an opening speech, emphasizing that PWRI is a platform for retirees with the spirit to improve the welfare of its members and families. This resonated with the spirit and enthusiasm of the workshop participants throughout the event.

The workshop was facilitated by a team of lecturers from the Business Administration Program at Telkom University, led by Mrs. Sherly Artadita, MBA., MSM. The workshop materials were delivered comprehensively and engagingly, tailored to the needs and capacities of the participants. The session included Q&A, discussions, and sharing experiences, as many participants had ventured into various businesses, such as fashion, food (such as cookies, shredded meat, yogurt), and some had even published books and wanted to sell them online, seeking to learn about creating e-books. The enthusiasm of the retirees associated with PWRI and the dedication of the lecturer team made the workshop enjoyable and productive.
