History of School of Communication & Business

To provide a stronger identity in the scientific field of telecommunications business management, STMB changed to IMT. This name change was followed by an increase in the admission capacity of the MBTI S-1 program, in order to meet market demand. In addition, the post-graduate program also adds program variants with the MM Telecommunications (MM Biztel) program.

The increasingly strong existence of STMB Telkom has driven the transformation of STMB Telkom into the Telkom Management Institute (IM Telkom) in 2008. This transformation was marked by the increasing number of study programs held by IM Telkom. The new study program held since 2008 is a study program: Bachelor of Communication Studies, Bachelor of Visual Communication Design, Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration, Diploma of Marketing. During the transformation into Telkom University in 2013, according to the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 270/0 / E / 2013 dated 17 July 2013 concerning the Merger of Telkom Polytechnic, Telkom Technology Institute and Telkom Management Institute organized by the Telkom Education Foundation Telkom University in Bandung Regency, West Java Province and Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 309 / E / O / 2013 dated August 14, 2013 concerning the Consolidation Permit of the Indonesian Institute of Art and Design (STISI) in Bandung Regency, West Java Province held The Indonesian Independent Education Foundation in Bandung Regency, West Java Province, to Telkom University organized by the Telkom Education Foundation in Bandung, West Java Province. With the merger of the four Universities into Telkom University, the Telkom Management Institute changed to the Faculty of Economics and Business.

According to the decision of the Telkom Education Foundation Board of Management Number: KEP0205 / 00 / DGA-02 / YPT / 2014 regarding the structure of the Organizational Structure and Work Procedure of Telkom University, on March 28, 2014, the Faculty of Economics and Business was developed into two Faculties, (1) Faculty of Communication and Business (FKB), and (2) Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). The Faculty of Communication and Business (FKB) consists of three Study Programs, namely: Communication Science, Business Administration and Public Relations.

At present the Faculty of Communication and Business (FKB) consists of three Study Programs, namely:

3. Digital Public Relation
