HISTORY OF SCB
During the transformation into Telkom University in 2013, according to the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 270/0 / E / 2013 on 17 July 2013 concerning the Merger of Telkom Polytechnic, Telkom Technology Institute and Telkom Management Institute organized by the Telkom Foundation West Java Province and Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 309 / E / O / 2013 dated August 14, 2013 concerning the Consolidation Permit of the Indonesian Institute of Art and Design (STISI) in Bandung Regency, West Java Province held The Indonesian Independent Education Foundation in Bandung Regency, West Java Province, to Telkom University organized by the Telkom Foundation in Bandung, West Java Province.
With the merger of the four Universities into Telkom University, the Telkom Management Institute changed to the Faculty of Economics and Business.
In accordance with the decision of the Telkom Foundation Board Number: KEP0205 / 00 / DGA-02 / YPT / 2014 concerning Organizational Structure and Work Procedure of Telkom University, on March 28, 2014, the Faculty of Economics and Business was developed into two Faculties, (1) School of Communication and Business (SCB), and (2) Schoolof Economics and Business (SEB). The School of Communication and Business has 2 Study Programs; Communication Studies Program and the Business Administration Study Program.
Along with the high interest of students studying Communication Studies, as well as plans to develop new Study Programs in accordance with the University and Faculty Strategic Plan, and based on nomenclature No. 1030 / D / T / 2010 Regarding the Nomenclature Arrangement of the Psychology, Communication, Computer and Landscape Study Programs where it is explained that Public Relations is one of the clusters of Communication Sciences. The School of Communication and Business then proposed a new study program, the Digital Public Relations Study Program. At present the School of Communication and Business (SCB) consists of three Study Programs; Communication Science, Business Administration and Digital Public Relations
